The Gardener picked the Queen Cox Apples yesterday. The tree is espaliered on a fence and the apples were cooking on the branch in our 106F temperatures.
It reached 97F here yesterday, the warmest day we've had this year and only the third day the temperatures have topped 90F. Some plants like it but we've only harvested a few tomatoes and peppers and not a single eggplant.
Vitex
The Vitex (Chaste tree) would usually be covered with blossom at the end of August but it doesn't like these cool temperatures.

The blue jays love the pears and often knock them off the tree when they peck them. They then see no reason to fly down to the ground but start on another pear.
